Jarden Consumer Solutions needed to create an emotional, lifestyle connection with shoppers to generate impulse purchase.
The Challenge
Drive impulse purchase for the upscale, 75 pound Tailgating Grill
and cordless Frozen Concoction Maker in Costco.
Motivate shoppers by experiencing products "out of the box" (literally).
Showcase the brand image of a fun lifestyle that resonates with shoppers.
The Solution
Fun, engaging vignette was created with the grill attached to the
bumper of a pick-up truck in front of a Tiki Hut with the beach in the background.
Three dimensional roof drew interest and was created from recycled,
shredded corrugate.
“Fantasy moment” was created where shoppers saw themselves
as “that person” enjoying the tailgating, outdoor experience.
Education was incorporated in several graphic panels.
Durable steel welded structure bolted to custom-designed wood pallet
was engineered to hold the weight of the actual grill and blender.
Concept strength resulted in three pallet positions for display, grill
and blender vs one pallet position typical in Costco.
